the apple somewhere in somebody's eyes

I made a couple New Girl videos because I love that show and that love must be expressed in song and dance. On the part of these clips, anyway.

Actually, the song for this first vid was a request from a friend, because she swears up and down it's perfect for Nick. I'm afraid I did not take his angst seriously in making this video. But then, just look at his face when he cries. Can you blame me?

*youtube link the first*

This second video was born of passionate love and Winston freaking out on the edge of a cliff. It's fun to dance along to. I'm very sorry for the interspersed credits, because this show insists on transposing end credits right onto scenes. D= Oh well, it gives it personality.

ETA: Now with the bonus of each link leading to the intended place! Yay!

Here comes that panic attack

I decided to make a follow-up to my last Sherlock video, but while this one started out being about the city it sort of ended up zeroing in on Sherlock himself. Which is the point, I suppose. It's also a lot darker, as I think s2 was. The song for this vid is "Essex Dogs" by Blur, but in a gesture of mercy toward myself and, of course, you, I cut it down from 8 minutes to 4.

If you have a minute

Not much I can think of to say as introduction. Basically, Peter/Wendy is my OTP, "Somewhere Only We Know" is absolutely perfect for the story behind it, and I'm very happy to finally have done -- and especially happy to have finally finished, this thing took ages -- this video. The footage is all from the old Disney movie because that's what Peter Pan is to me.

*No d/l link again because, once again, fileshare sites are giving me static.

Finally, after all these years...

It is the GREATEST MOVIE EVER. There will be more of these, and more specialized ones, but I got a quick wild one out of the way -- a general homage to all of Peter Pan set to the instrumental "Intro" by the XX. The theme of this video is that it is the GREATEST and also the PRETTIEST movie ever.

Makes you want to laugh, doesn't it?

I've been threatening this for three and a half years, and it's finally happened. A Joker vid. Because I love Joker. It's inappropriate, really. To keep it simple, it's just Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger and Mark Hamill. Believe me, I want to watch a video of Cesar Romero hitting people with fish just as much as you do, but there is a time and a place for sifting through stuff you haven't watched since you were four. Anyway:

Vimeo password: swordfish -- watching the video should give you a clue as to why. And the song is "Tea & Thorazine" by Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire, because it was hearing it three and a half years ago and realizing it and Joker were meant to be together that caused me to do this.

*There is no download link because every service I try spits the file back out at me and I don't know why.

Into the sea, eventually

Title: Castles Made of Sand
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Amy, Rory, Eleven, Tabitha Pond, reference to Augustus Pond, original character
Rating: PG (one oblique sexual innuendo)
Spoilers: Delicate references to various s5 episodes
Summary: You can take the girl out of the TARDIS life but you can’t take the TARDIS life out of the girl. A few years after parting from the Doctor, Amy is having a nostalgic birthday.
A/N: The first part is something I’ve been compelled to do since The Big Bang. The rest of it just sort of happened from there, which in turn of course required the Jimi Hendrix-based title. And thank you, thank you, thank you to snikives for editing. <3

Available under the cut as well as at Teaspoon.

I almost titled it A Taste of Blackberries but it was depressing.Collapse )

Whoo, bandwagons!

I made a video that has NO RELATION to Doctor Who. I know. Those will probably be back, though. In the meantime, have the new and improved three viewing options (they should all work, I believe).

This is how you pass the time when you have no internet access.

I made two videos!

The first one is set to "When You Were Young." Yes, I know. But I've been threatening to make this thing since The Eleventh Hour aired, and I finally made good. I always knew it'd be Amy's perspective-centric, but I didn't realize how heavily until it came out. Anyway, it's very self-indulgent and we all might be better off not knowing. The second is a general s5 video, to "Southside." I tried with questionable success to make it look moody and atmospheric. Moby is there to prop it up where I may have failed. The vimeo password is: travelers

I will have to attempt to stop vidding this series. After I make the rest of the ones clouding my mind.

This is the last one for now, I swear.

This video doesn't have to be so much shippy as a study of the nature of Eleven and Amy's relationship, so hopefully it will appeal to you whatever it is you're looking at them for. It's mostly from Amy's perspective, about the role the Doctor's played in her mind.

You'll all be pleased to know that I've now run out of songs I have any sort of present access to that I'd want to use to make s5 vids of, so you get a break.

Sometimes I feel like

Not as much of a triumph as my last vid, but came off way more coherently than my fears thought it would. And I still can't get over how perfect Amy's story and this song are for each other. ETA: On youtube, the video is available (to me, at least?) through my profile, but I'm being told it looks like it's been taken down when somebody tried to watch it, and when I use the youtube search engine it doesn't come up. I reuploaded it, but other than that I really don't know what to tell you on that front. I'm trying to figure it out.

The vimeo password is "urchin."

Son of ETA: I uploaded the video to another streaming site where it should be viewable. It's also right above, having replaced the youtube link.
